Our vision is simple but ambitious: to create more than a shelter. Terra Nova Rescue CIC aims to be a place where animals and people can heal, learn, and grow together.
We believe rescue should offer animals comfort, enrichment, and dignity while also helping people understand and connect with them on a deeper level.
Terra Nova is being built with the goal of creating a rescue environment that prioritises welfare, behaviour understanding, and compassionate care for every animal that passes through our doors.
Right now, we are beginning where meaningful rescue work truly starts: within the community, through education, awareness, and practical support for the people who care for animals.
Year 1
Raising the Foundations
Right now, our focus is on building strong foundations: raising awareness, sharing knowledge, and connecting with our community through workshops and local events.
We believe rescue begins long before an animal needs a new home. It begins with education, compassion, and understanding.

• Hosting community workshops on animal behaviour, training, and welfare
• Attending local events and market stalls to raise awareness and support the project
• Growing a supportive network so that when people face difficult decisions with their pets, they do not feel alone
Support Along The Way
Terra Nova is beginning its journey through education workshops and community engagement, focusing on raising awareness and prevention around animal welfare issues.
By empowering people with knowledge and compassion, we are laying the groundwork for long term change, helping prevent neglect it starts.
From there, we will gradually expand towards direct rescue operations, developing a sustainable model that combines education, rehoming, and community support under one transparent framework.
For Animals and People
In the long term, Terra Nova aims to grow into more than a rescue. We hope to create a community hub where people and animals can heal, learn, and grow together.
As the organisation develops, our centre could include:
• creative workshops and craft sessions that encourage relaxation and connection with animals
• carefully managed wellbeing sessions involving suitable rescue dogs
• educational programmes about animal care, behaviour, and welfare for people of all ages
Our goal is to create a space where compassion meets community a place where both animals and people can find safety, understanding, and support.
