Knowledge & Connection Sessions
Learn. Connect. Empower.
Before Terra Nova opens its rescue site, we are starting where it matters most, in the community.
Our Knowledge & Connection Sessions, co-hosted with Magnus_K9’s, are designed to make animal behaviour, care, and communication simple, practical, and accessible for everyone.
These sessions are not about strict obedience or quick fixes, they are about understanding your dog, building trust, and creating calmer, happier relationships.

Dog Health: The Stuff No One Explains Until It’s Too Late - Date Will Be Announced Soon
Most serious dog health emergencies don’t come out of nowhere, they build quietly, with signs that are easy to miss if no one has ever explained them.
This knowledge session is designed to bridge the gap between dog owners and the veterinary world, helping you understand what’s normal, what’s not, and when to act before problems become urgent, expensive, or life-threatening.
Topics:
• Pyometra (female dogs)
What it is, why it is dangerous, early warning signs, and how it is prevented.
• Prostate disease in male dogs
Common prostate problems (including cancer), signs owners often miss, and how risk can be reduced.
• Early signs of illness
Small changes in behaviour, appetite, mobility, or routine that can signal bigger problems.
• Behind the scenes at the vet
What actually happens when you drop your dog off for surgery or procedures and why it takes time.
• Vet bills explained
Why costs are structured the way they are, what you are paying for, and how to plan ahead.
• Written prescriptions explained
What they are, why vets charge for them, and when they are useful.
